Tow Guides
What can I tow? How big of a truck do I really need? Before you look for a trailer check out how much you can tow. All of the weights on our site are the actual weight of the unit sitting on the lot. For example: If you can tow 7200lbs you don’t want to purchase a trailer that weighs 7100lbs unless you don’t pack anything when you go camping. As a general rule of thumb you should stay 1,000lbs under your vehicles max tow weight. Remember everything that you pack into the trailer and your vehicle adds weight including passengers in your vehicle. If you’re not sure what you can tow you can check out our tow guides. Just pick the year of your vehicle and find it in our guides. If we don’t have the year of your vehicle click on the 2008 category and try to find it in there. If you are still unsure your tow limit will be in your car owner’s manual or you can call your local car dealer and get it from them.
